Admissions for Academic Year 2023 - 2024

Applications for Reception Place (September 2023 Start): Applications for a place in our Reception Class, starting in September 2023, should be made through South Gloucestershire Council Department for Children, Adults & Health. Click here to link to the application page. 


All applications must be made by 15th January in the year of commencement. Full details are published in the 'Admission to Primary Schools in South Gloucestershire - Information for Parents' booklet which can be downloaded via their website or click here for a copy. Booklets are also available from the school office.

Casual In-Year Applications

Casual (in year) Applications: these applications are those which fall outside the normal admissions round ie: not necessarily a September or Reception Class start. These applications should be made directly to Christ the King Catholic Primary School. Please contact the school office on 01454 866680 or e-mail school@christthekingprimary.co.uk for an application form .  These applications will then be considered by the Admissions Committee against the criteria listed in the School's Admissions Policy. Please see above for a copy of our current admissions policy.


Appeals: Parents/carers have the right to appeal against the refusal by the Governing Body to admit their child/ren. Please refer to our admissions policy for further information. Appeals will be arranged by the Diocese of Clifton Department for Schools and Colleges and conducted in accordance with the Code of Practice on School Appeals.
