At Christ the King, we regard a good attendance record as essential for a child to reach their full learning potential. Missing out on lessons leaves children vulnerable to falling behind - 'Every Lesson Counts'. Children with poor attendance tend to achieve less in both primary and secondary school and this can affect their performance in exams and chances later in life. As a parent, you are legally responsible for making sure your child attends school regularly.

If your child is ill then please telephone the school office on 01454 866680 as early as possible. There is an answer machine available for out of hours. Please ensure you leave your childs name, class and a brief description as to their reason for absence.
We do appreciate that in exceptional circumstances, absence during term time maybe necessary. Please refer to our attendance policy for further information. This is reviewed annually and falls in line with Government recommendations and as a result of this, we are unable to authorise absence for holidays in term time.
Forms are available from the school office should you wish to request an absence during term time.
